The Farm Ready Skill set has been developed to assist undergraduates from the Agricultural and Veterinary Science programs at The University of Queensland Gatton campus to participate in a specific set of applied training and skills to ensure their readiness for rural and farm industry placements.
UQ-GVEC has developed its High School Agricultural programs to give participants a broad range of skills and knowledge to help further their careers or higher education aspirations. Students gain real world practical skills across a range of areas including machinery and equipment, livestock, cropping and farm operations.
The primary role of UQ-GVEC is to offer a range of applied rural educational programs and courses that are innovative and not traditionally offered via the Universities academic programs. Our level of delivery ranges from a Certificate Level 1 to the Advanced Diploma (AQF 6) and we are nationally accredited.
