TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

This qualification is suitable for people delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Achievement of this qualification is a requirement for trainers and assessors working within a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). This qualification is also suitable for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context.

Duration

Full-time: 6 days training over 3 months.

Part-time: Students can elect to spread their enrolment over two semesters.

Classes are held at the Women's College at UQ St Lucia campus and Gatton Campus (dependent on minimum numbers)

TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development

This qualification provides skills for training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. They may have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promoting innovative practices, e.g. e-learning, and in researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment into training programs and products.

Prerequisites: TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent or extensive vocational experience in a training and assessment role. All applicants must have access to an actual or simulated VET (or similar) workplace environment in order to undertake practical program elements and assessment tasks.

Duration

Full-time: Includes two consecutive days of training each month over one semester (or six month period). Classes generally run from 8.30am until 4.30pm

Part-time: Students can elect to spread their enrolment over two semesters.

TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training

This qualification reflects the roles of experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) within the vocational education and training (VET) sector. They may have a role in leading other trainers and assessors and in providing mentoring or advice to new trainers or assessors as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the RTO.

Dual Diploma (TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training plus TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development)

Participants enrolled in TAE50111 or TAE50211 can complete one extra subject at a cost of $410 in order to achieve both UQ-GVEC TAE Diploma qualifications. Refer to the enrolment form and program guide for further details.
